It’s hard to simplify my life, since I’m what they call a baby-boomer. All that means is I’ve been alive for quite a while, just ask my grandchildren or great grandchildren. God has allowed me to walk quite a few different patches of ground, since I was a little girl. Currently, I call the mountains of North Carolina home. It does my heart good to live in a small community, surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains.
My husband, Carl, and I have been married for 49 years, we have 3 grown daughters, who married men that are true treasures. In every case, it truly is like they were made for each other. We have 4 grandchildren, one is married, with 2 children, so now we are great grandparents. The beautiful part is that, I can see each of them anytime I want to, because we all have our homes on an 8 1/2 acre piece of land. Carl and I are so blessed, most children can’t wait to get away from their parents. Yes, the woods are dwindling, but we’re making room for homes and more love. The song is 100% right, “What the world needs now, is love sweet love, it’s the only thing that there’s just to little of”.
