A Treasure For All

scenery 5

Linda L. Throgmorton
May 1, 1991

Each minute of a day, is like a treasure,
waiting to be opened
As they unfold before us, do we
take them for granted

Or do we embrace them, as the
precious gifts that they are,
Using each one as though it
was God given

Time is more precious than the
silver and gold we buy
Slipping by without notice, as though
there will always be more

We cannot redeem the day, once
it has slipped away
We’ll only have memories of things
said and done

We can help shape those memories
we’ll be sharing with others
By opening each new moment, as a
gift given freely in love
